There will be an open meeting next Wednesday night the 17th of September at 7.30 pm in the Gap, to finalise arrangements for the Get Outdoors Event which is being held at Slieve Gullion Courtyard, Saturday week, the 20th of September. All available members are asked to come along to the meeting.
As you will be aware from the publicity around the event, Gap O’ the North are leading a Family walk, which will start from the Courtyard, loop up and around the Forest Road, and come back around by the Gun Club to the Courtyard again. Seamus will be on hand at pre-arranged stops to do his thing and give short snatches of historical/local information.
There are a limited number of places available to the public and it has been advertised as an over 8’s event, although there are many of our own members’ children who are younger, but would be perfectly fit for it and welcome to come along.
Anyone free on that day to give a hand, your help would be greatly appreciated, it kicks off at 11.30 am so we would need to meet shortly before, it should finish up about 2.00/2.30. We need help to meet and greet, marshal the route and generally showcase the Club as the professional outfit we aim to be!! Delia and Mona have offered to man our stand in the hall, but if anyone wanted to join them I’m sure they would gladly accept any help.
