Sunday’s walk, 9th November is a Mournes walk – Lietrim Lodge-Tievedockaragh-Pierces Castle-Rocky.
We will have 3 groups out-
The T Group are walking from Leitrim Lodge to Hen Mountain via the Mournes Way.
The C and B routes will vary according to distance and pace, also starting at Leitrim Lodge.Those who scouted advise that it is likely to be wet/slippery underfoot and walking poles will be needed.
Hopefully the weather will improve, the forecast is giving Sunday as the best day of the weekend, but wet gear is probably going to be needed. At the very least a good waterproof jacket, walking boots and gaiters will be necessary. Bring a packed lunch /drink.
Note we are driving to the starting point for all groups- Leitrim Lodge, there is no bus.
